My story behind this song #200919

Many of you may question why “don’t let me down” is my favorite song. It is actually not about the people who let me down, betrayed me and made fake promises to me. There is a lot more to it. Indeed at the time when I started to love this song, I was in a emotional dip. I lost myself and every will to live, because the friends and relatives I had then let me down when I needed them the most. I often used to do well for my friends and relatives, but life taught me that sometimes no matter how good you have been, you will always be evil in someone’s story. It is up to you if you decide to be influenced by the evil which others speak. For in their story there was also a time I was good to them.

I can remember listening to this song, and letting the beats flow through my body and mind. It was only then I realized that my soul was singing this song out loud to my consciousness, for me to pick up myself and live my life not for others and not because of others, but for ME.

I decided to choose for myself and I decided that I could not let myself down any longer, but rather MOVE FORWARD!

A few Years later I can reflect on my decision to choose for myself. Yess, I lost a lot of friends and relatives, people betrayed me and let me down over the past couple years, but it only made me stronger.

~I am proud of my struggle and my victory, thankful to the people who stood by me and Thankful for the blessings from the Almighty.

All I ever wanted…

There was this time in my life where my happiness depended on people. Where I felt I was not worth of anything. And I thought that person could make me feel better. What I learned throughout my journey is that self love is crucial. You cannot make someone love you, and the amount of love they have for you will never fill in any emptiness in life. We should take on our responsibilities and make ourselves our priority.

They hurt you, leave them ~ you are worth more than that.

They abuse you, stay away from them ~ They have no right to abuse you, neither physically nor mentally.

It is time we realize that this world is not always fair. People will never love us the way we love them, because all of us are differently made. But it is likely that the love you build up for yourself will give you strength to move on, when your situation is destructive.

You left me in darkness

Words sweet as honey, turned out to a bitter experience.

There will be moments when you give your all to someone, hoping for the same in return. Sometimes we forget that people do not share the same thoughts and feelings like us. The nice part is, someone enters your life and gives your life a whole new direction. Hoping that things last forever, you give in your heart, soul and emotions. But it is not always meant that people who enter your life stay there forever. We grow in life, sometimes you outgrow certain people. It is so hard to let go, knowing you invested heart and soul into a relationship. But what do you gain by holding on when that specific relationship is draining all of the little energy you have left in you. Then it is time for us to let go. Suddenly you are left alone and surrounded in darkness. All alone, just you. These “breakups” will never be particularly easy, especially if it was a relationship that was not one sided. Even though you tried to explain your thoughts and feelings, it did not help. I guess it is okey if people change and priorities change. But now I’m left in darkness, though my darkness is temporary, there will be a dark spot in your life forever. No more me, no more us. Just you living your life and me living my own.
